US Legal Support was no different. Over the years, accumulating over 1000 different clients and cases, all with specific research related to various court cases, trials, and medical, legal, and community based details, data at US Legal was imperative, and was growing fast. In 2015, they moved to “the Cloud”, but, the Cloud Solution they had in place was not Enterprise Class, over-priced, and carried very poor SLA’s.

The Challenge

For US Legal, going to the Cloud was a choice which was made several years ago. Managing IT Infrastructure was not the primary business model for this LA based Law Firm.

Over the years however, they learned their Regional DataCenter and Hosting provider was expensive, consistently unresponsive, and lacked a quality Service Level Agreement the Firm needed for higher availability.

iAppSys met the client in early 2018 to support their EBS upgrade and patching needs. At this time, we discovered a serious gap in performance and support. With a little collaboration with the functional users and executives, we learned how costly this poorly architected “Regional Cloud” providers solution was.

With our simple, one week, and 5 Step “AppShift” solution, we scripted and redesigned the company's entire Cloud platform plan and architected a 65% savings plan to migrate to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

The Solution

migrate away from their legacy infrastructure, and legacy OS by upgrading its existing OS, then migrating to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to expedite its internal workloads to meet the demands of high reporting and critical business deadlines. The result is a highly available and scalable solution using iAppSys' Managed services and Data Management, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Database and OCI, saving US Legal 65% in annual services costs as well as increasing the daily SLA and upgrading the Oracle E-Business Suite platform.
