Agile PLM 9.3.6 is the final release there will be no 9.3.7. Premier Support ends December 2027. iAppSys helps you evaluate three practical paths forward and execute with confidence, powered by our SafeSwitch migration program.
A structured PLM migration typically runs 8–12 months. The window to start execution is now, well before the 2027 cliff.

What Is Happening
In October 2023, Oracle removed version 9.3.7 from the Agile PLM roadmap. That makes 9.3.6, first released in January 2017, the final version of the platform. Oracle has confirmed Premier Support ends December 31, 2027, after which Agile moves to Sustaining Support with no new patches, security fixes, or critical-bug updates.
Agile keeps running after that date, but the safety net underneath it changes. For regulated and integration-heavy enterprises, that distinction drives real decisions about budget, compliance posture, and architecture starting today.
Once Critical Patch Updates stop, every unpatched vulnerability becomes a standing risk.
Auditors take a dim view of unsupported backbone systems in regulated industries.
Skilled Agile architects and consultants are retiring. Specialist talent is harder to source each quarter.

An 8–12 month migration means execution should begin now to finish ahead of 2027.

Your Three Paths Forward
Not every Agile PLM customer should take the same road. iAppSys leads with a discovery-first, advisory approach, then helps you plan and execute the path that genuinely fits your data, integrations, customizations, and timeline.
Best for customers ready to modernize their PLM platform and align with Oracle’s cloud direction.
iAppSys helps you assess, plan, and execute the transition from legacy Agile to Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM formerly Oracle PLM Cloud a fully managed SaaS platform delivered by Oracle.

iAppSys SafeSwitch moves Agile PLM to a hosted, SaaS-like managed environment on any cloud OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP preserving every workflow, integration, and customization.
Move off aging hardware & data-center dependency
Stronger backup, DR, monitoring & security
Keep existing Agile functionality & user workflows
Avoid immediate SaaS disruption to business users
A managed bridge toward future modernization
Best for customers who want to harden their existing environment before a larger move.
Bring Agile PLM current on 9.3.6 with the latest Release Update Pack, and resolve aging middleware, Java, browser, and database dependencies creating a clean, supportable baseline.
Stabilize the current Agile PLM environment
Improve performance, security & supportability
Resolve outdated middleware, Java & DB dependencies
Reduce near-term operational risk
Buy time for cloud or SaaS planning
Unsure which path fits? Our roadmap assessment compares all three against your environment, cost profile, and timeline with no obligation.
Compare Your Options
Each path has real strengths. Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM is the long-horizon modernization platform with native AI and the digital thread. SafeSwitch is the fastest, lowest-risk move to a managed cloud while keeping the Agile you know, and iAppSys can build custom AI on top. Staying on-premises preserves the status quo, but loses Oracle support after December 2027.

Start with a No-Cost Conversation
30 minutes with an Oracle Agile PLM specialist. We’ll review your environment, outline the three paths against your timeline and budget, and leave you with a plan you can act on, whether or not you choose iAppSys.
Why Start Now
You don’t need to make a rushed decision, but you do need a roadmap. Here’s why the planning conversation belongs on this year’s agenda.
For enterprises with significant data and integrations, a structured migration commonly runs 8–12 months of execution, before that, planning and vendor selection.
Multi-year initiatives usually need early approval to align with capital planning cycles, sometimes across more than one budget round.
Archiving, de-duplication, and cleansing of years of product data can itself take months for large environments if not started early.
PX extensions, web apps, and bespoke logic all need evaluation so nothing critical is lost in the move.
Business users, suppliers, and partners need clear communication, training, and a change-management runway.
Security and compliance exposure compounds the closer you get to the end of Premier Support and crisis projects cost more.
Why iAppSys
iAppSys was founded in 2007 to deliver unrivaled Oracle expertise across the full product lifecycle. For Agile PLM customers, that means consultative guidance and the hands-on skills to execute every path.

Upgrade, SafeSwitch cloud migration, and Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM, we support the full range, so our advice isn’t tied to one outcome.
We start by understanding your environment and goals, then recommend, rather than leading with a pre-set product pitch.
Every Agile customer is different. We give you an honest comparison and a roadmap built around your timeline and budget.
Our migration program removes double-billing and upfront cost, turning a risky project into a predictable, financially-guarded move.
Roadmap Assessment
Before recommending anything, iAppSys runs a structured discovery of your Agile PLM environment. It’s how we turn the 2027 deadline into a clear, costed plan instead of a guessing game.

Common Questions
No. Oracle removed version 9.3.7 from the Agile PLM roadmap in October 2023. Version 9.3.6, first released in January 2017, is the final release of the platform. Ongoing 9.3.6 work has been limited to Release Update Packs with error corrections, security fixes, and targeted certifications.
Premier Support for Agile PLM 9.3.6 ends December 31, 2027. After that date the product moves to Sustaining Support. Your system keeps running, but you no longer receive new patches, security fixes, or critical-bug updates, which is what changes the risk picture for security and compliance.
No, the software continues to run. The end of Premier Support is about the safety net underneath it: patching, security fixes, and Oracle-backed technical support. For most enterprises the practical question isn’t whether Agile runs, but whether running it unsupported is an acceptable risk.
Not directly. Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM is built on a different architecture and data model than Agile PLM, so a move to it is a re-implementation rather than a simple upgrade. That’s a strong fit for organizations ready to modernize and exactly why some customers prefer to first migrate Agile to managed cloud infrastructure with SafeSwitch as a bridge. iAppSys helps you weigh both.
It depends on data volume, customizations, and integrations. For enterprises with significant complexity, a structured migration commonly takes 8–12 months of execution with planning, budgeting, and vendor selection ahead of that. If go-live needs to happen before December 2027, starting in 2026 gives you a comfortable, low-risk runway.
SafeSwitch is the iAppSys migration program. It moves and upgrades your existing Agile PLM into a hosted, SaaS-like managed environment on the cloud of your choice, Oracle Cloud (OCI), AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. iAppSys absorbs the new cloud utilization cost during the migration period to remove the double-billing penalty of a parallel run.
With the upgrade and SafeSwitch cloud-migration paths, yes, PX extensions, web apps, and integrations to ERP, CAD, MES, quality, and reporting systems are preserved, with regression testing as part of validation. A move to Oracle Fusion Cloud PLM involves reassessing and rebuilding processes on the new platform, which the discovery assessment scopes in detail.
Absolutely, that’s the point of it. The roadmap assessment is discovery-first and obligation-free. You walk away with an environment and risk summary, a side-by-side comparison of all three paths, indicative costs, and a phased roadmap. It’s designed to inform your budget cycle, not pressure a decision.
